Great artwork really jumps off the page.

And Muhammad Ejleh‘s 3D pencil drawings do just that. We love the amazing detail and great use of 3D in the drawings of this Syrian artist which are often photographed interacting with everyday objects to show off their use of perspective. From a notebook with a burst water pipe to a wooden drawing mannequin escaping from a table top, these top notch drawings manage to be endearing, funny and unique all at once.

Over at Ohh Deer, we worship at the altar of the humble pencil, and for that reason, we’ve got a lot of love for Ejleh‘s work! Our clear favourite is ‘Let’s Get the Hell Outta Here‘ which shows two 3D stickmen escaping from a scrunched up ball of paper.

If you want to know more about how he creates the illustrations and want some help honing your own 3D pencil drawing technique then there’s also a fab video to guide you through:
