Stephanie K Clark is a Salt Lake City-based artist who considers herself a painter. Instead of the traditional oil or acrylic paint, she instead paints with thread. I can see why that would be appealing, there’s far more precision with a needle than you can get with a paintbrush. “My background in painting has allowed me to explore the material using techniques that derive more from the worlds of drawing and painting, engaging both traditional and innovative techniques in employing formal qualities with density, texture and pattern.”
Her work has incredible depth, and the colours which she deploys really make the work leap off the canvas. You can see more of her work HERE.
