A series by Tchmo, an Australian born artist who now lives and works in Montréal, Canada.
I was drawn to his work because it reminds me of newspaper print, the way you get clustered pixels in the printing process, that and work by Andy Warhol – These prints would be at home in the 60’s. The sense of adventure when you look at a photo of mountains, I’m not sure if everyone feels that way, but I certainly do, it makes me want to pop into town and get a pair of hiking boots and go on a walk. I’d probably regret the hassle about 15minutes into said walk… All because I’d seen a photo of some mountains, but regardless; The coloured coverlays and haze that he has added to the images is like mist in a scene from Lord of the Rings.
