‘James R. Eads was born in 1989 in Los Angeles, he went to college at Skidmore in upstate New York and then lived in Brooklyn for a few years before relocating to Los Angeles. He lives and works at the Brewery Arts in Los Angeles. His studio is open to the public during the bi-annual artwalks.’ – JamesReads.com

Though a career as a writer would have been more apt, the only thing that surpasses the coolness of this Artists’ name is his art. Working in a sort of digital post-impressionist style, James punctuates his pieces with a virtual impasto of abstract colour, combine this with great composition and some simple silhouettes for contrast… Presto, you’ve got some really unique and eye catching illustrations. Producing posters for bands spanning the musical gamut, from the Foo Fighters to Ray LaMontagne, James comes up with a beautiful illustration each and every time.
