“It all started when one person emailed me a photo of their tattoo. I was so flabbergasted I posted it on my blog. A month or so later, another person emailed me their tattoo, so I posted that one. Then I started getting tattoos emailed to me every couple of weeks.”

Marc Johns has got some mind blowing illustrations up his sleeve, and his whimsical watercolours have graced the pages of mags such as National Geographic and Wired. But it’s sleeves of the tattoo variety that have got us excited about his work this week.

Marcs fans have taken to getting themselves inked with his designs, with his ‘what to focus on’ illustration proving the most popular. We love these quirky inks and so we’ve popped together a selection of his fan’s tattoos for you to ogle at.

His simple but distinctive style has character aplenty, and whether it’s a robin going for a jog, or a rabbit smoking a pipe, his drawings, which are often accompanied by a succinct caption, are just our cup of coffee.

We’ve chatted to Marc before, and you can read our interview with him HERE, and stroll by our shop to buy his products HERE. You can also see more fans tattooed with his work on his website HERE.
