Ever cursed at a broken lead whilst sharpening your pencil? How about breaking the lead of a pencil once you’ve carved a miniature village of ten houses, several trees, a garden of flowers, a church and a hillside into its little lead tip?
Tom Lynall, a jeweller from Birmingham, has been creating miniature lead sculptures ever since carving a heart into the tip of a pencil in his workshop last year.
Artist Tom advises those who want to take on his pencil sculpting hobby not to get annoyed when the lead breaks, but I’m sure he might’ve managed a few expletives if he’d have broken his 25 hour creation ‘Hidden Village’.
